About Shawn Anderson
I spent the early part of my life growing up in the small town of Parksville, BC on Vancouver Island, after moving from Richmond at the age of two. Parksville, a sleepy town of barely 12,000 people at present offered plenty of opportunity to be active and enjoy the outdoors but lacked the "big city" atmosphere I desired. After completing grade school, the next few years were spent working and preparing to enter the University of British Columbia engineering program which I did so in 2002.
After three years of materials engineering at UBC including a one year co-op placement in Detroit, Michigan, I decided to change course and enter the Sauder School of Business at UBC, ultimately graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Urban Land. Immediately upon graduation I started working with a well respected Vancouver residential appraisal company and for the next two years, placed a value on houses, land, apartments, and townhomes within Metro Vancouver for banks, lending institutions and private clients. This is where I gained the greatest knowledge of real estate, neighborhood areas, and property valuation; some of the most invaluable knowledge any REALTOR can have.
While working as a residential appraiser I was offered the opportunity to team up with a longtime university friend and fellow Sauder graduate, Mike Rampf. Mike had been successfully working as a REALTOR for several years in Vancouver and this offered the perfect opportunity to combine our skills and knowledge in the real estate industry. Now licensed as a REALTOR in beautiful Vancouver, I work alongside Mike in our office located at 1428 West 7th Avenue, aided by our full-time and amazing assistant, Mary-Ann. It is my hope that our combination of real estate knowledge and market expertise will help you in achieving all of your real estate goals.
